Fare reduction after booking

Hi all,

My dad is currently working in Bahrain. He booked a flight directly with EK last week to come back to London to spend Eid here. The price of the booking was BHD 449.60, which according to XE is approximately Ł760.

I've just seen on the EK website that the exact same flights are now being sold for BHD 406 - approximately Ł698. The flights are BAH-DXB-LHR-DXB-BAH with the outbound on 23rd September and the return 27th September.

I was just wondering whether EK refund fare differences in circumstances such as this, since the booking was made less than a week ago. We're not too fussed if they don't, but if they do then I can contact them.

Many thanks in advance.

Don't think you have a chance - if the price had gone up would you have offered to pay more?

Only Alaska does that. Well, Southwest, but everybody knows they don't have a change fee.

Within some countries there is a 24 hour cooling off period, for some airlines, within which one can refund a ticket without any charge. But after a few days if the price drops, I guess you are stuck with it.
