It seems that ALL first saver fares are gone.

I could get a BKK-LHR-BKK for 160,000 baht a week ago, I waited and was late by 24 hours and now it is 208,000 baht.

Any chance the first saver fares will come back if the flight is in mid-January 2017? I am struggling whether I should wait or take Qatar special fares or Swiss?

Any help or experience on this would be appreciated.

EK pricing in F seems to have firmed up considerably over past months. I have not seen any good deals to Aus/NZ for some time and the one relatively good fare I got was via a TA and not on the EK website. Presumably they are happy with loads at the moment.

Loads are way down!

F savers will be back it's just a question of when....

It's the same pattern as last year...the f savers are on from Feb-June... They may come back again but who knows....

And savers are back...more expensive but still better than flex first prices..,

I note PVG has gone up a lot probably due to switching to a 2 class a380 so limited first on this route now...

Only for upgrades
First saver fares only appear if you upgrade from business saver.

You can’t physically pay for first saver

I have booked an F Saver fare several times. I have the impression there is a 3 week advance purchase requirement.

The advance purchase lock window for F Saver's fare depends on Sales office city too i believe.
For example South Africa has been having great deals to USA from JNB/CPT in F. Those F Saver can be purchased max up to 2 weeks before SA outbound to DXB. Not always available due to availability / demand...
Within in the 2 weeks lock window only Flex/F+ fares are made available..

Hmmm I had to take a look and indeed JNB to JFK is a really good offer.
Makes me want to position from DUB to JNB just to experience the ulh first..
