Deja Vu
So, here is a nice coincidence.
On my recent onward/ return flight from BOM, I had the same a/c serving both the days, was seated in the same seat (9J), AND had the same SFS manning the cabin - all within within 5 days. Both she and I were pleasantly surprised to see each other!
She informed me that it has never happened before that she got the same flight within 3-4 days of doing it last (typically it tends to be at least a month or two) and she had the same 'dispatcher' for this flight, who was also surprised to see her.
I've met several crew 2 times, and a couple of them 3 times, but never the same person on my onward and return segments, and the same a/c, so one of those Deja Vu moments...

My favourite coincidence was when I mentioned some great staff that had looked after us on a MAN-DXB flight.
It turned out the Purser was a FT contributor
I received a PM saying he'd passed on the praise to the staff involved.

I've had the un/fortunate occasion to fly back with the same crew a few times following short trips.
It's ok to Europe or even South Africa but it's real painful if you're going to SFO or JFk.
The crew even laments that where EK flies multiple daily flights to a certain destination ops now schedule them on the earlier flight number pair... for an even shorter layover.

I've also met an EK purser who sent me a PM after EK4 once. I wanted to upgrade with miles on board but he knew the flight was full and hinted before I got there!
Slyly said that he knew I didn't recognize him when I saw him but he knew me by my handle and obvious intentions to ask on board. Quite a freaky and cool coincidence!
He came as the flight was descending to apologise that I couldn't upgrade my flight with him today and handed me the fast track card.
