Platinum Question
Strange question but maybe someone can help? I hit Platinum late last year and I have 7 months left on it. I am getting close again. Am I right in thinking that my next 12 months start again when I reach 150k? So technically I will lose 7 months from the previous Plat?

Your renewal date stays the same and the excess miles are "lost" although qualification is on a rolling 13 month period so if you don't reach the miles at your date miles earned in the previous 13 months count if that makes sense!

If you hit 150k tier miles before the 12 month date then you are simply guaranteed it for another 14 months once you reach the end of the renewal month, you don't lose the 7 months as it won't reset the entire tier miles clock, as it were. Basically I find it easier to ignore the Tier Miles calculation at the top of the account screen and think of it as tier miles lasting 13 months and expiring on a monthly basis instead. The "My Statement" screen is a much more clear representation of the process.
