10h transit at DXB
Hi all,
I am having a look at possibilities for a round trip HAM-BKK-USM-HAM (via BKK, with PG and then of course DXB).
There is a flight from USM with PG leaving at 22 and it would be the last flight for the day, then a 2h30mins connection at BKK then flight to DXB with a 4h connection
Connection would be fine, but the fact that it is the last flight of the day, well, who knows
Better to stay at DXB instead of USM (I mean airport).
The other possibility is to have a loooooong connection in DXB to minimize problem in case of problem from USM.
They would be 10h, from 5am to 3pm.
What to do? My wife and I are blue, flying Y.
Marhaba lounge? Day hotel inside airport?
Well, there are also other possibilities, but I would like to fly A380 as it is much better then 77W in Y.
And I do not understand why there are only two possibilities to fly it when more flights have A380 ex-BKK.
Thanks

The first flight out of USM to BKK is 0600, arriving 0705, which is plenty of time to catch EK375, dep 0930, arr DXB 1300, to connect to EK61 to HAM at 1500. Which incidentally would be the same flight that you would connect to if you wanted the 10hr layover at DXB.

Samui airport is gorgeous, its set up as smaller connected chalets, you get that amazing thai coconut water through out the airport (free in the lounge)
