I think your second and third ones should be DXB, not MRU and DAR respectively. However, as an EK Silver (from your profile) you have lounge access anyway.

Thanks for the correction have corrected it accordingly

I loose silver end of this month due to their new 25% special fares

You are lucky than over here we get them often and no justification to buy more expensive fares. I fly Y mostly

If you want to retain silver you'd need to buy the more expensive fares. Down to personal choice and how much benefit you'd get from lounge access in Dxb.

Well If i had option than yes but considering i fly for work several times i sometimes dont have that option of booking flex plus or flex. Problem also is as Etihad is starting in December and their Tier miles are way higher than EK for cheaper fares is it worth sticking with EK or moving to EY. The planes EK sends to Dar are never that nice and in most cases they are more expensive than other airlines and offer way less rewards (miles) than others here.

I have only flown EK past 10 years and made silver since 2007 with gold in between for one year. I guess its time i reconsider especially since these new type of fares were introduced

If I had a choice I wouldn't be flying EK at the moment.

Gosh M3red - this is quite something. But I understand where I think you are coming from I.e. The first paid/ business offered scenario? I too would be deeply upset with that situation especially as it comes out of my own purse! Your post regarding the DXBMAN flight actually alerted me, and for that I thank you. Because this is a route I frequent. I really hope EK do the right thing by you. Sorry I will miss you in the "lovely" Bidvest lounge - I am there the day after you I.e. 29/11!

I live in Dar and I see special fares regularly every few weeks offers come out. Well if there were less special fares here would have more miles as sometimes fare difference is 50-100 usd but miles is special against Flex. As I fly for work they choose cheapest fares.
