Wildlife in Concourse A

Sat in the Concourse A Business lounge just now - and if anything there are more small birds in residence here than I've previously noticed. While the chorus of birdsong is better than the endless boarding announcements of times past, I do wonder how hard it would be to evict them.

A lot of the most suitable structures for perching on are directly over dining areas... surely many guests end up with unwanted seasoning on their food?

I can't say it bothers me - I am happy to eat at a table outside and one takes that risk there. I'm just curious as to why EK haven't removed them, after all they do not have tickets for an EK flight departing that day - or maybe they do?

Those must be some rich (or loyal) birds we have flying South this year...

Falcons can travel in the cabin on EK to certain destinations (on EY I think it's all destinations, if you have the required documents of course). No additional ticket required.

Those birds you saw are reserved for the falcons travelling first class. There is a "Falcon Spa" in the first class lounge where they unleash the beasts at night, and the choir of birdies is more quiet next morning.

I think I have posted the pic of a bird helping itself to the snacks from the bar area at the far end of the J lounge in Concourse B.

It was'nt the two legged kind either. ;-)

As you can probably imagine I didn't have any more of the snacks that day.

Doh. :-(. Can't find the picture now.

In retrospect I guess I must have overdone the whisky last night. Birds ( that fly) have two legs as well. ;-)
