First class transfers at Dubai
Hi all, feel free to point me in the right direction if this is already covered elsewhere.
Traveling in First Syd-Dxb A380 with onward connection also in F Dxb-AMS on 773 I understand these wil probably arrive/leave from different concourses in T3 but can I still access the flagship FC lounge in concourse A post arrival from Sydney? Also do Emirates fast track/escort FC passengers through the transit process? Many thanks! |
- You should have access to the lounge in A yes, but make sure you have enough time to get to the departure concourse. The lounge receptionists have the discretion to direct you to the one in the departure concourse if it's close to the departure time!
- No escort through transit. At all. Unless you are about to miss your flight. |
Thank you eternaltransit!

There is no reason I know of to say your flights will use different concourses. Both B777s and A380s regularly use both.
Either F Lounge is fine. You should get a Fast Track pass for DXB but the rules are not really enforced IME. Your DXB-AMS flight should be on a 77W not a 773 I think. |

Many thanks! Escorting requires you be a VVIP (with EK office placing a note on your reservation to get a staff member to meet you) or have reserved the Marhaba service for transiting (for $$). Note that VVIP means you're either A-list celebrity, have a HRH/HH title or be guest of the ruling families/airline. |

Simple answer no (based on my experience with them last month.)
Why can't they have a dedicated f line? Why can't they enforce the priority lanes? Even Lhr does this... |
Thanks all. ft101 I thought concourse A was purely for A380s and B was a mix of other aircraft which would likely necessitate the change of concourses?

Well in that case I've definitely learned something new. Thank you!

One other point on transfers - there are multiple transfer areas in each concourse. If the first one you reach is busy then keep walking. If you need to get a new boarding pass however often EK only open desks at one or two transfer areas. Agree priorty lanes never policed (in the rare event they are open).

Concourse A is much publicised as the "A380 Concourse" as all gates are equipped to handle A380s.
