I was aware of A6 - A8 (from memory) being bus gates, but thought all others were OK.

Could it be a single gate at each end of the concourse that can't take the A380 (guess from a look at Google Maps)?

Yes - the ones on the end with only two bridges can't do an A380 - if you go down from the lounge elevators you end up at the regular boarding level! They then bump up the number of A380 gates by saying the bus gates are also A380 gates...technically true I suppose...:D
