Opening award space on US routes does not mean they don't have enough paying customers. EK strategy with award seats is perhaps the most understood among major carriers, and availability is wide open almost always in the lower 2 cabins across the network, not just the US.

You still seem to ignore, and fail to respond to, that the US market is a NOT base market for EK. It is the other way around. World population > US population. EK market reach > US market reach. That's without looking at market segmentation (first/business/economy) and the fact (yes there are facts here) that for several markets served, fares TO THE US (the world does visit the US from time to time) are among the steepest and therefore highest yielding.

You do realize that Gary Leff, who in addition to being the top points blogger, runs an award booking service. So him telling you that the flights were wide open BEFORE they up-gauged to the A380 and are now super-wide-open means nothing?

Talk about having your head in the sand.

I will prepare a neat rebuttal, but in the meantime:

Your question leads to no where and your claim is baseless because it is built on an unrelated premise: a known blogger that runs a service says there are plenty of award seats.

Expertise in an area does not require one to have a blog (which is a venue for marketing). It doesn't mean anything with relation to EK. We're no bloggers here but many of us have deepER insights on EK reward scheme that would put several experts to shame. I know this because when I worked for such service I got bombarded with questions about EK from fellow experts as if it's an alien scheme, difficult to comprehend.

And by the way, you keep turning a blind eye to the questions/points raised. That doesn't help a discussion or your claim, you know.

Yeah, Gary Leff is obviously wrong about availability on those new flights.

I guess it's too hard for you guys to admit you might -- by gosh -- be wrong.

Your reply makes no sense! Who said anything about Gary being wrong on award availability?! If anything I tried to explain that is the norm with EK to award availability across the network. It's not news, simply a blog article with a reference to a publicised promotion, and a mention that award seats are easy to score on EK.

That EK has award availability does not imply that EK is running a financial scam

Funnily enough, I cannot accept random statements to automatically have a causal link

You have failed to provide one iota of hard evidence to back your opinion. You have failed to provide data-backed counter-arguments to any of the informed arguments that have been presented. Until you do, your opinion remains just that, and carries little or no weight due to the amount of hot air upon which it rests. You have provided entertainment though, with your fatuous comments and inclusion of completely irrelevant sources. So, congratulations on single-handedly making yourself a laughing-stock in the forum. The question remains - are you in fact a scam?

I will reply to your email in 5 years when, perhaps, you might apologize.

While the ad hominem attack was certainly uncalled for, the rest of his post is worth taking to heart.
