Upgrade OP/ flight loads?
Hi, I am wondering if anyone can help me!
I am a silver skywards member and I am flying bhx - dxb - hkg on 23/10/14
EK 40 & EK 382
I would like to know what is the pax loads on these flights and if there is any chance on getting a OP / upgrade to business class.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi there and welcome to FT
From a quick check at expertflyer (not totally reliable, but a fair guide) it seems that neither of your sectors is heavily booked, and I would say therefore that your chances are unfortunately very slim indeed. Realistically I certainly wouldn't get any hopes up.
I believe a couple of members here have access to precise load numbers so perhaps may have a different view.

Flight load assistance
Hi All,
Looking to see if worthwhile burning miles for UPG for MAN - HKG
Flying - EK20 25 October, connecting to EK380
Return 29th EK383 HKG - DXB
The last sector is available, so I will use miles for that.
If anyone has an insight into the loads via Expertflyer which is a guide I know, then thanks!

Any letters you see in that list from Y onwards relate to various economy class codes, including award tickets ; but be aware that the remaining availability numbers as quoted could in fact (AFAIK) be 'minimums' rather than actuals.
Codes A, C, D, F, I, J, O, P, Z cover business & first class, whether full revenue tickets, mileage awards (inc. flex and saver) or mileage upgrade awards.
I'm certainly not the forum expert on these codes, but the numbers seem to confirm my previous assessment that the likelihood of Y-J Opups looks pretty low (plus, I guess you will be aware that any Platinum or Gold members would normally be higher up the pecking order of course .....)

Thanks very much TaipeiWang and m3red
I did try and book O class but that had gone.
I ended up booking a flex fare, that will have me back to silver on the outbound and have more travel planned in the next 6-8 weeks.
Lets see and hope for the best - thanks again.
