Update on BRU cars: I had a BMW 7 series for my last F flight. Driver confirmed they're now using BMW 7 and Mercedes S for first and Mercedes E for J. Mercedes Viano van for J/F when no other car is available or when travelling with lots of luggage.

Question: Flying J to Vienna next week and a friend arriving on EasyJet an hour after me and departing around the same time a few days later (on EasyJet). Could he come in the EK CD car with me airport to city and back? Complications arise as it is a different airline, I think I recall seeing if flying on the same flight in Y it isn't a problem?
No additional cost to EK so don't see why there would be an issue but corporate politics is corporate politics. |

1 extra passenger in the car is usually no problem at all.

In my experience, offering a crisp 20 EUR bill gets you an extra hour :D

Didn't have an issue taking a friend in BOM from the pick-up location and dropping her at a taxi stand on the way near the airport with my EY car a few weeks ago, so suspect it can be done. |

There is probably a certain time limit before Emirates stand them down so if you didn't make any contact you may find them gone. We use 1 hour, approx and then Emirates let you go. What they do in Vienna may be different. |

It would be polite to phone ahead to the chauffeur office rather than turn up and make them wait. That way the chauffeur isn't hating you before you even meet and the chances he has another job which means he can't do it even if he wants are much slimmer too and 20 Euros would make no difference then.

I wouldn't deliberately wait airside and make them wait I'd rather go out and ask him about it. If it isn't possible no worries and off we go and my mate can grab a cab. That's what he thinks he's doing anyway. For the trip TO the airport when they call to confirm I'd ask.

The trouble with doing it that way (at some airports if not all) is that if the driver has to pay for parking then 20 euros won't cover the parking by much and the company won't pay. Airport parking is expensive.

Surely EK or their sub-contractors have some type of arrangement with the airport operators.

Some may, we certainly have to pay.

I work for the company that has the contract in an outstation. It comes out our pockets and has to be reclaimed.
