Class of Service: First Car: Mercedes 4 door (C series maybe?..forgot to look) Driver was 30 minutes late. Had to have the concierge at hotel call on my behalf after :10 had passed the pickup time. Driver claimed he was there at 18:15 (pick up was 18:30) and he left when we no showed. We were downstairs at 18:10 and the staff was looking out for the car. Not a big deal but an apology would have been nice (he didn't offer one). Two other passengers were picked up by Volvo's while we were waiting. Pickup time for my flight was 11:15 AM, the driver comes at 10:45. Another time it was 12:00 AM, he was at my doorstep at 11:30 PM. Never had a late driver. The driver in BKK today was 30 minutes early. BKK J class Mercedes E 220 Was an older car but driver was great and played a mix tape of 1980's US pop music for us (we are from USA). Said he made it himself and was very proud of it. Great driver! |
1. What is the Earliest time before departure an EK Chauffer can pick us up in either AUH or DXB? I love F lounges and EK F experience will be a once in a life time experience, so Ideally would like 6 or 7 hours in the F EK DXB Lounge.
2. What is the Earliest time I can check in for departure in DXB for EK F Flight?. 3. On a side note, what's up with the 0315 DXB SIN A380, why so much availability? why is that flight not very popular?. |

Class: Business Car: E and F class Location: HYD Class: Business Car: C class A driver in HYD said he was on overtime on 24 hour shift as they usually work 24 hours on and 24 hours off. Knowing that your driver has been at the wheel for over 24 hours isn't the most most reassuring of thoughts, especially somewhere where the roads are as chaotic as indie. A driver in London said he'd got in past midnight and had started work at 5.30 that morning. It made me wonder if Emirates had any rules about driver hours for the car services they use. |
at DXB
> had E-class wagon :( or S-class as F > had the typical EK Volvo wagon, but also had Lexus ES (without EK decals) > saw Range Rover with IO decals in November at CDG : > A6 or Infiniti M most of the time > but also had V-class (very spacious after all), A8, 7 series, jaguar XF |

Has anyone been picked up from Inverness when flying F from GLA?
It's 170 miles to GLA, however, according to EK the limit is 150 miles from GLA, however, it is advertised that they will pick you up from Inverness, I contacted the chauffeur service and they did say it was all complimentary. I just don't want to get stung for £200 at the end of a long journey:( Thanks all. |

Can relax now I know I won't need to stump up! Do you think EK will provide complimentary food/drink stops on the almost 4hr journey? After all, it's a bit much to expect us to wait until we arrive at GLA:) |
No, it would spoil your appetite for the food in the lounge. ;)
