Quick Q re bags

I'm transiting DXB (arriving from SEA and heading for AMS) in September with a 13.5 hour layover and staying in a hotel for the ground time. Will I have to collect my checked bags? Thanks!

Thanks! Not possible for a layover that long at many airports and it's great that it's allowed at DXB.

Normally for a same carrier layover that has 2 back to back sectors booked under a same e-ticket number whereby the layover is 23 hours 59 mins and 59 seconds or less, this is a legal connection and bags are able to be checked through. It also happens if the first operating carrier on the ticket has an interline agreement with the second carrier as well.

Also depends on your flights, you may be eligible for dubai connect. More details here: http://www.emirates.com/au/english/p...i-connect.aspx
