If you are on a 3 class flight but in business class, you wont be able to choose 2J or K as a preference, you'll only be able to choose a row where business starts (I think it might be row 6 for a 3 class)

Actually Row 6 is blocked until check-in opens so the first row that you can select a seat on a 3 class 777 is Row 7.

Noted folks re row 2 and usual start of J. Probably row 8 then because 7 seemed to have the tv's on the bulkhead or whatever? On a couple of flights the service was a bit slow and I noticed the people a few rows ahead had almost finished their meal by the time they got to us.
