But not to shout so rudely, as in the OP's case. And mine for that matter.
It's a 14hrs flight what did he think was going to happen? Some people sleep better with their seats reclined. |

Thats what you get in economy. If you don't like it get an exit row or pay for business class.

How is Emirates economy different from economy on any other international airline? You might as well not fly economy at all because you will have the same experience.
|
I hate the ppl who complain when I move my seat all the way back.
It's more comfortable for everyones seats to be tilted back, then for everyones seats in the upright position. Which would equal the same space for you either way So just move your seat back and you'll be happy |
it's an issue on any airline and emirates is right to say its a passenger's right - you have the same right to recline as well - if not why have a recline button.
The only exception can be during meal times, but once trays are cleared that no longer applies... hardly reason to never fly Emirates |

So just move your seat back and you'll be happy And while I of course prefer that the person in front of me not recline, I certainly wouldn't expect it and realize it is their prerogative to recline. I wouldn't think of complaining about it. |
Never fly by Emirates
I am not even sure it applies during meal times. Say the person in front has reclined and is a sleep and doesn't want a meal. Why should the passenger behind have the right to disrupt his sleep and have him woken up? Why had that passenger got a greater right than the sleeping one? These seats are meant to be designed for this.

But during meal times, if the seat in front is reclined, the tray often presses against the person behind, making it awkward to eat, so most of the time CC ask people to not recline then.

Then the seats are badly designed. Why does a person eating a meal have more of a right to wake someone up than the person sleeping have a right to sleep? And I disagree. I have eaten meals with the persons seat infront reclined. It's perfectly fine unless you are very large indeed.

OP, you should never fly with ANY airline in this case anymore..
I'm often reclining my seat, and other than start, landing and meal service, I won't move it back... oh, and I'm not (just) flying EK only :D |
We had it with Virgin all the way back from LA once, the couple in front wanted to sleep on the 12 hour over-night (A340-600 2 - 4- 2 config) and I totally understood that however when we asked them nicely if they wouldn't mind just adjusting their seats so we could eat our dinner only to be given a mouthful of abuse, well that was the end of economy flying for me and instead of 4 or 5 trips a year now, it is one or two in business class.
