Emirates A380 Models

On a trip last year, we flew CX to JNB and back through HKG. In their in-flight shopping, we noticed we could purchase very nice 1:200 scale models (with stands) of their B747-400 aircraft, some with the Hong Kong: Asia's World City special livery.

My question: does EK do or offer the same on their A380 flights? If not, does anybody know a link or a place I could go to shop for/buy such models? I'm looking for higher quality models that include landing gear and good details.

Thanks!

You can purchase a 1:200 scale A380 (and indeed a 777-300ER) from the Emirates store inside Concourse B at DXB (I can't quite recall if there is one in A, but there is definitely one in B). I think it's about 40 USD. It is a pretty decent model, but you can inspect it before buying at the store. If you're looking for a 1:100 or 1:50 scale model, you'll need to order that direct from the Emirates Official Store (420 and 3300 USD respectively). The 1:100 model is also available from the Emirates High Street, so you can earn or spend miles for it.

^^Precisely the information I was looking for. Thanks eternaltransit! Much appreciated.

On the retail locations, the emirates official store website lists as follows:
East Store, Terminal 3, Dubai Duty Free
West Store, Terminal 3, Dubai Duty Free
Terminal 1, Dubai Duty Free.

I can confirm that, according to the Emirates website, there is a store in the A gates terminal (A380 hub).

I passed through the Emirates store in Terminal 3 only two weeks ago and bought a B77W. I also saw other aircraft, including the A380. Normal livery A380 1:200 was 150 AED, they also have a World Cup Special and another one which I don't remember for something more. Smaller aircraft 1:200 are 125 AED.

When I landed yesterday morning I noticed that they have some 1:200 models in Duty Free (Terminal 3). I couldn't tell you the price or aircraft type, I was half asleep and heading towards the booze section.

My Emirates 'fleet'

http://www.lentini2001.pwp.blueyonde...0Fleet%201.jpg

Both the A380's are solid metal and the 777's are a 300 and 300ER.

The big A380 A6-EDE weighs a ton and I've cut my finger open on the sharp bits a couple of times.

Hope you like, not too sure I'll end up with 93 777's

Is the big A380 a 1:100 version? That might be a tad big for us. We typically buy these for our kids and all of our other models from other airlines were 1:200, so we'll likely stick with that.

I located them online at the Emirates Official Store and that was easy. Will be ordering a couple shortly.

Thanks everyone for the responses!

Try Skymarks

I came across them by chance in WHSmiths, and bought the A380 for just shy of 40, pretty decent quality I thought.
