Long stopover and crediting of miles
I booked a tix from Europe to Australia with a couple of month "stopover" at my home in SIN in both directions. I did it this way because I basically got a free flt to Australia because the flt there was cheaper than just to SIN. I am at my stopover in SIN now and the miles from EUR to here haven't been credited. I am thinking this may be normal for EK because my flight to Australia hasn't been completed. Am I correct that it works this way even if the stopover is several months long? I am at the limit for qualifying for plat so I am most concerned about what month the miles will be credited and my anniversary date is coming up soon.

That's what I thought, thanks. But when the miles will be credited (actual and tier) in April for the segments flown in Feb they will be shown as a flt taken in Feb at least for the part from Europe to SIN? I will become Plat if they are credited in Feb but not if I get credit in April for the flts taken in Feb.

On the "My Statement" page, my flights with several sectors over more than one day get credited on the day of the last sector.
Example: 8 March 2014, Europe West (ZRH) to Subcontinent East (DAC) and the miles. The breakdown shows the first sector ZRH-DXB on 7th May, DXB-DAC on 8th March. The total for both sectors gets credited on 8th.
This pattern is followed everywhere, so I assume you will get the whole leg credited in April. You could call them to try and split it up.

A problem might be that Europe - SIN plus SIN - Aus equals more than Europe - Aus so where would they split it?
Calling might get you a helpful operator who can do something to let you achieve Platinum, but then again . . .
