Booking class codes on ExpertFlyer
I recently started using ExpertFlyer and was wondering if there is a list of the EK ticket codes somewhere... For example, these are the codes for a flight I am on next week:
J7 C7 I7 O7 P7 Y2 E2 R2 W2 M2 B0 U0 K0 H0 Q0 L0 T0 V0 X0
I get that the J/C/O/P codes are business, but how do I ready the economy codes? Does this read that there are Y/E/R/W/M tickets remaining, and can you reply on the number of 2+2+2+2+2=10 tickets remaining?
Is there another thread explaining this?

You cannot add up the various codes in a particular class to find out what total number of seats are available. That is not how it works it is rather, as the previous poster pointed out, simply an indication of what seats in each particular fare bucket they they are prepared to sell.

If I was on the flight in Y, I'd be hopeful of an opup depending on which route it was.
Things I would interpret - its a 2 class plane (then you knew that looking at the seat map etc)
Y is already oversold but EK are willing to sell 2 more Y seats factoring in space in J for op ups and the liklihood of cancellations/missed connections.
It is highly likely that flight will go out at 100% capacity.
I would look at the seat map (as a rough guide for the space left in J) to determine the amount left or go onto the EK booking engine and do some dummy bookings....

When J shows availability then that is good for you - are you Plat? What route and date is this?
Blocked seats mean nothing - lots of people don't book seats believe it or not and you can't book certain ones anyway due to bassinets etc that may be required.
You also need to factor in likely staus pax and the email upgrade offers and the milegae upgrade offers that may be taken up

Yes, I'm platinum :-)
I'll cross my fingers for the OpUp then. Thanks for the info!

Unless J gets sold out or pax don't turn up in Y/ there are cancellations, I am pretty much sure that you are headed for an op-up. Unless of course, you have a situation like me in EK204 2 months back where Y is heavily oversold and check-in staff are asking for volunteers and then a party of 12 doesn't turn up and 3 Plats + 11 Golds all end up sitting in Y...

in my experience they will certainly offload Y with no status etc if they have no space for them after all op ups
