Hi,
EK started flying from TPE yesterday, as announced. There was an inauguration party at the Grand Hyatt yesterday (pics on EK´s FB page).
A lot of check-in counters were open, no waiting for C, F and status customers at all.
EK said they are going to open their own loungs, but so far use China Airlines lounge. Even their F part is not worth mentioning and no way up to EK standards. Location could be better.
If you like to drink good wine (late evening departure), remember to shop a bottle in the duty free first. Besides snacks, all food is Taiwanese. Anyway, seating is plenty and WiFi available.
Besides, I am still very happy EK picked this destinations, and I sure the lounge issue will be resolved soon.

is it still China Airlines Dynasty Lounge? I talked to CEO of Emirates East Asia at the party in Taipei and he said they gonna open the new lounge already in February on time for the first flight. The China Airlines Dynasty Lounge really sucks, I think even EVA's "The Club" is better and this one is already basic.
