How was the city annual economic value calculated?

All that in just a decade. Impressive.

It makes me wonder how much more expensive operating into LAX is than DFW or IAH if there's that much of a difference! Surprised they didn't include JFK into this mix, that number must be over the US$ 1 billion mark.

Ditto for ORD and DEN would be amazing for access to ski resorts.

Whether you're a koolaid drinker or not, still an impressive 10 year run.

Actually, IAH started about a year before LAX (IAH December 2007, LAX December 2008). IAH like LAX ran double daily for quite some time, so there shouldn't be such a huge different in figures. Perhaps this is taking in account the predicted impact the A380 will have on LAX?

Yes, and I used to frequent IAH quite a bit for an onward connection on to DFW. Just would hate the 200LRs which operated this route then.

I'm still curious on how economic value to cities was calculated. Not disputing, just wondering.

Don't forget QR and EY. QR will launch MIA, PHL and DFW (in total 7 US destinations) and EY announced LAX and DFW so far (5 US destinations) for next year.
