Flex upgrade availability ?
Hi,

Having read some previous posts it appears possible to check the number of 'upgrade' seats that are available.

I have a Flex Economy ticket EK406 - Dec 4th.

Could someone kindly let me know the availability of business class (upgrade) seats.

EK406, DXB-MEL-AKL currently has 5 Business Class upgrade reward seats available on 4th December.

If you're just looking for a single seat you can go to "Upgrade with miles" in manage my booking. Specific numbers will have to be through sites like experflyer

Perfect, thanks.

So in theory i should be able to either ring Emirates direct or upgrade online on the 4th Dec and obtain an upgrade (if seats still available) ?

Any way to know rough upgrade cost? I can't figure it out since I won a trip and don't have access to the travel agency that booked the trip. Emirates can't help as they say I have to contact the travel agency. I can't contact travel agency because I don't have details.

You don't need Expert Flyer to check for up to 9 people.

To get the figure above I just did it on the EK website and increased the passenger count until availability disappeared.

I assume you're referring to upgrade using miles... If so, use this calculator. If not, get on to manage my booking and follow the links to upgrade fare.

Log into your Skywards account and do a dummy reward booking for the flights you want to upgrade.

If a Saver Reward seat is available in J (or F) then an upgrade to J (or F) is also available as they come from the same booking bucket. Note - Saver Reward, not Flex Reward must be available.

If you only want one sector, then do the dummy booking for just that sector.

Increase the amount of persons to determine how many are available.

By no luck do you mean EK has said that there are no seats or that some other issue has come up?
