Purchasing Miles - Website issue
I'm looking to purchase 13K mile so I can (hopefully) upgrade a flight.
When I choose the 13K mile, the cost is displayed as 'NaN', so I can't see how much it's going to cost
It goes all the way though to the payment page, which then shows a cost of Ł0.00. The payment then fails.
Anybody else had any issues recently?

I just got the following email :-
"Unfortunately an error occurred and your transaction could not be completed.
Your credit card has been charged but the necessary documents could not be issued.
Please call your nearest Emirates Contact Centre as soon as possible.
Unfortunately your booking has not been successful due to a problem authorising your payment. There may be a problem with our payment system at this time. Please try again using another payment method. If you repeatedly receive this message, please contact us for assistance, or other select another payment option, if available.
Best regards,
Emirates"
So, my credit card has been charged, even though it was not authorised?

same issue on all browsers installed on 3 different laptops
I did notice a new field for selecting the MBNA EK UK card
but still get the NaN message

I get the same message too. This is what you need to do...
Select how you want to pay emirates Amex or other card... Then select the number of miles you want to purchase you will see NaN... Just press the continue button. It will take you to another page, I'm not viewing screen at the moment, select the currency you want to pay in, it will then calculate a figure
Now add all your card details and go pay... That's it and this should work as I have bought miles from Emirates twice before

By the way... If you are purchasing miles for Emirates. SPG have a great offer where you get 25% discount if you purchase more than 13,000 starpoints, if you purchase 20,000 starpoints you get an additional 5,000 miles free when you transfer to Emirates...
This is far more cost-effective at the moment rather than buying through Emirates. But I think you will need to have a spg account and takes 3-4 days for points to be transferred over.
Buy from Emirates if you have an Emirates American Express card (get 25% off) and want less than 20,000 miles. If you don't have this card then better to buy miles from SPG instead. If you want 25,000 miles then better to buy 20,000 miles from spg with 25% discount, transfer to airlines and get 5,000 free air miles.

But you'll need to have your SPG account open for more than 2 weeks before you could purchase SPG points.

I've got a few SPG points in an account. I'll just top up.

Quick follow up question...
When transferring from SPG to EK, do I need to include the 'EK' part of my membership number, or just the numeric part after EK?
Cheers!
