I've stopped flying BA altogether since the past several years.

I think the tag-line of The World's Favourite Airline was always somewhat dubious, even in its better days. It was of course defensible purely on total volume of pax, which in turn depended on pure network coverage and - in many cases - corporate booking policies. Is it not the case that Ryanair has actually overtaken BA in terms of pax carried ?

I remember someone once joking that in similar vein the Ford Fiesta could be labelled the world's best car because at one point it sold in greater numbers than any other car (apologies to any Fiesta owners).

I have enjoyed some excellent experiences in the (distant) past with BA, but from all that I read these days they have slipped significantly.

I can't recall any since 1996 and haven't flown them at all in the past 10.
