What to do with skyward miles?
I have about 50k miles which are expiring in August. Not sure what to do with them since I dont plan to fly Emirates. I'm on UA and AA and have stopped flying Emirates since past few years.
Anyone got a good way to spend these off? I'd prefer not to convert to cash or give them away. Can I may be transfer them to another miles program?

The other uses are listed on this page: http://www.emirates.com/ae/english/S...ing-miles.aspx
You can also tranfer miles to another member at a cost of US2.5 cents per mile.

Do you have any plans to be in Asia?
It costs 60,000 skywards miles for a roundtrip saver first class ticket on emirates a380 BKK-HKG route. Sure it's a 2.5 hour flight but as long as you request for the shower early, they'll still provide it to you.
I'd just buy 10,000 skywards miles or if you have SPG points, transfer them to your skywards account. Even though your miles expire in August, you can fly this award trip for early 2014 (just make sure to book it before they expire!)
