My recollection is that you cannot just hang about at the gate but as an arriving passengers have to head down the corridor on the lower level of the pier; at the end of the pier there is the security checkpoint for connections which then have to pass through before can head back down the pier on the upper level back to the departure gate
I am sure you are correct, I am normally feeling a little under the weather as they say after having finished of the Heinekens and started on the Amstels and more bothered about connecting to a TG domestic to be paying that much attention to what is happening after I have got off.

And yes everything from where the plane parks to security and the lounge is in close proximity.

Discussed a lot on the TG forum and I have experienced this myself, you cant get past the jobsworth at the entrance to security before the escalators without a BP or printed of copy of your E ticket although there is now mention that they sometimes let you past with a BP on your phone. Just wondering how the Sydney pax manage?

I understand that and it cant really be a problem as its done hundreds of times a day. I was only wondering about those who may have left their BPs on board by mistake.

As you are aware the lower level is arrivals and the upper departures. TG dont issue BPs for EK (although EK issue them for TG) so when you arrive TG domestic you are on the lower level but need to get to the transfer desk or lounge on the upper level to get your BP... but to get to the upper level you need a BP. (all this is airside)

I have been behind many a PAX faced with the boarding pass. I dont have a boarding pass I need the tranfer desk. No boarding pass you not pass. I need to go upstairs to get a boarding pass. No boarding pass you not pass. This can go on for ages. This Is Thailand you get used to it.

Anyhow way of topic, apologies.

They do remind numerous times to make sure that have all items and that the boarding pass will be needed. In the end , there's a limit they can do

Yeah you have to go through the whole process as if you are arriving from a different plane. Out through to flight connections, security, departure lounge and back to the gate. On the plus side, you can stretch your legs and use the 45mins of free Wifi the airport provides. (Get another token and you get another 45minutes)
