Flex economy more expensive - new pricing policy or just random fluctuation?
My only EK route is MAN-DXB-NRT, but I do it several times a year, sometimes in business, but mostly with a flex economy ticket, in order to maintain Skywards gold status. Tickets are bought from EK's UK web pages.
I've noticed that the differential between standard and flex tickets seems to have jumped from around 200-250 UK pounds to about 400 pounds per round trip.
Is this a new pricing policy by EK, or just a random temporary situation created by the algorithms of the booking engine? Either way, from my point of view it makes EK a far less attractive prospect.
