You must be connnecting in DXB and going on elsewhere surely?

Does the BP mention a specific Concourse or Lounge?

When I flew J on the 1st my boarding card said "Welcome to lounge the Emirates Business Class Lounge situated closest to your departure gate."

I have a 7hour layover in a couple weeks though, Im going to ignore that and try visit the two new ones.

Was a Gold in Y on the 2nd of Mar and it said the same "Welcome to the Emirates Business Class Lounge situated closest to your departure gate."

Though I am sure they would let you into any of the lounges so long as you promise them that you'll leave early enough to make it to your gate.

In fact, they are filtering at the entrance... As I'm flying to BOM on Gate 23, I'm in the big HUGE Business Lounge facing the First Class Lounge, just in front on the Trains to Concourse A.

Had hoped to use the new Silver on March 3/4th but because of a one hour delay and time limits used the J lounge in B.
It wasnt too busy.
Hoping to use the new A lounge or if time check out the silver lounge on my return flight.
Impressed by A concourse!

That is done at all lounges to ensure only the travelers with access are allowed in. However, did the turn away anyone because their gate was not at that terminal where the lounge was?

Yes, she clearly told my neighbour to get to the other lounge... He was Y Silver too.

I just find it interesting that no-one has actually reported going into the T3 "refurbished" bus class lounge.

Is this a conspiracy or what?

I can confirm that Silver members can use the Business Class lounge in T3 when traveling economy. I am flying DXB-EBL and am sitting in the lounge right now. Must admit was a little surprised to see the lounge invitation on the BP as I never got the email.

I'll take it though....

This is bizarre.

The thread is supposed to be about the reopening of the "refurbished" T1 Gate 22 lounge and no-one seems to have visited it.

What am I to think?

When have you ever known a thread in the EK forum to stay on topic?

Give it a couple of weeks, and it may lurch back towards the OP's intention...

Hasn't lurched anywhere but off topic (not to mention the screaming babies in the refurbished lounge).

How come if this refurb is such a wonderful thing that no-one has been able to personally experience it? Sounds like it's a mirage, not really there.

Sitting in it now, standard EK lounge setup but with alot more seating compared to befor. Smoking area still upstaires. All in all I am impressed. It feels clean and brand new with very few pax. Food looks good and the staff are great. Was the wait worth it? I think yes as it is just a bigger and newer version of the F lounge across the road.

How EK handled this is up for debate but in the end they got there and did a good job much as I hate to admit it. Silvers enjoy :)

The real question is - is it like the new C class lounge in T1, where you can no longer help yourself to many things; you have to be served by an Emirates employee (which is very annoying)?

Anyway, I'll try it for myself next week. If I don't like it I'll probably go to the DCA FCL along the way in T3.
