My friend who's silver contacted EK and was told that he can only access one lounge???.
Could be an ignorant call centre staff though.:confused:

I think that its only those lounge agents will be aware of these changes. Lets wait for our friends who will be flying this week and see.

I think we should wait for clarification on the web site (which has not been updated yet), because the email is slightly ambiguous. If they are giving access to all lounges then it will probably depend on which terminal your next flight is leaving from.

Anyway, thankfully, it looks like the senior that I spoke to a month or two ago, who told me the lounge would be closed all 2013, was wrong. He did say that they were promising "something special", though, so maybe he was right on that one ^

I can only assume it means all lounges, because if your flight is departing from Concourse A it makes no sense travelling over to Concource C to gain access to the lounge at Gate 22. Now lets hear those gold suspects scream!!!!

So, has anyone had a chance to check it (them) out? I notice that neither the emirates nor the skywards websites have been updated so far.

Any photos of the new lounge? If my stoppover is long enough tomorrow I'll take a few and post them.

My feeling is that any changes will be minimal, but let's see.

I'm travelling in a couple of weeks DXB-CDG (C class) and I'll be looking to get into the EK T1 FCL. Anything to avoid the EK DXB Bus class lounges.

Otherwise, my Priority pass will get me into the DCA FCL in T1 (which is really quite nice and quiet).

Given the T1 J lounge is now open, is the T1 FCL still accepting Gold and J pax?

Oh god the pressure =p. My connection is only 2.5hours. All going well I'll land in DXB with plenty of time to have a wonder and will post videos/photos here. If not I wont be back in to DXB by 25th.

Delayed from SIN by ¾ hour and as suggested in another post yes we had to wait for a slot to land for a further ½ hour.
I was lucking to make the connecting flight to LGW.
So no Lounge, no 1000 miles, and nothing to report back to you guys. Apologies.

Sorry but same news for me. My GLA flight was an hour delayed - just circling in the air. Arrived at Concourse B and my gate for CMB is about two minutes away from the J lounge. Not enough time to make it there and back. I'm sure somebody else will be able to enlighten us all to any changes.

Well if not I'll go into the DCA FCL.

From the above posts, perhaps the "refurbished" lounge is a mirage.

Silver member here (long time reader, first time poster).

I can confirm, having travelled on EK837 this morning, that the main Business Lounge (concourse B) would seem to be allowing silvers in on economy PNRs.

I'm flying Y in half an hour to DXB from NCE, and my BP says Lounge Access in DXB... and no upgrades for me today :(
