Marhaba

Hi guys.

Posted this on tripadvisor but not getting many replies so thought I would try here as I am flying with EK next week. Hopefully you guys can help!

Cheers

Travelling to Dubai next week and was thinking about using the Marhaba meet and greet at arrivals.

We are arriving at 8pm into DXB Terminal 3. Is this a busy time or later in the evening?

There website is confusing though as I can't figure out which service to select. Basically I want fast track through immigration and not queue and then collect my luggage. However, what's the real difference between the bronze and silver package? The silver costs more but that is the package that says full escort and fast track, where as bronze says escort through immigration.

Is the bronze package not fast track then?

Below is taken from the website:

Bronze

On Arrival:

You will be met at the arrivals area before immigration look for your name on the marhaba plasma screens located at different points along your journey.

Handover of your visas and/or other essential documents

Escort through immigration formalities and the security screening

Assistance at the baggage belt area

Escort to the receiving party at the meeting point outside arrivals

Silver

On Arrival:

A warm welcome on arrivals. You will be met as you enter the terminal by a marhaba agent holding a placard with your name.

Full escort and fast-track through immigration formalities and security screening

Assistance at the baggage belt area and complimentary porterage

Escort to the receiving party at the meeting point outside arrival

Marhaba

My read on this, although I am no expert, and aside from the implied cold welcome from bronze is that silver is fast track and met off the plane whereas bronze is met in the arrivals area at passport control. They will be useful only if you need a paper visa to enter then they can help with that process otherwise seems little use and only fast track with silver.

When I moved to dxb I got bronze. Bronze was fine, I'd consider it for my parents next time.

Met in arrivals hall and taken to the front of the immigration queue.

Very useful as the queue is big frequently. I had a similar service last night when I flew into Doha - very useful saved at least an hour as visa was done in a separate lounge and we were taken through immigration with no queue.

So bronze is definitely fast track then as well? Just isn't very clear on their website.

So the only difference is they don't meet you at the plane door?

With bronze do you get off the plane and then go to a desk before passport control? Is it sign posted and easy to find in terminal 3?

Marhaba

I stand corrected. Seems it is a fast track in that case just no warm welcome!

I do not want to open a new thread, so I will post here.

We will stay at Hilton Creek, then we will have flight at 9AM from DXB.
Does it make sense to pay another night, so wake up at 5, have breakfast (maybe not, too early), transfer to DXB and wait there?
Maybe is better to book at Marhaba Lounge and go directly around midnight?
