Hello everybody,
just yesterday, I booked F class flights to HKG out of PRG (fairly affordable rates at 82000 CZK [~3200 EUR] pp ret flex, still a bit more expensive than the rates they used to offer out of ATH). As you might know, they are offering Chauffeur Drive around PRG.
While PRG is not listed on EK's worldwide lounge webpage, research has shown that they seem to be using the Menzies lounge at PRG. However, the most recent posts about this I could find here were from 2009, and research on the internet doesn't reliably tell whether this lounge still exists or whether EK still use it.
As the reviews on this lounge are everything but in favor of this lounge (and the pictures don't look too promising, too) and I expect it to be even worse than the Olympic lounge in ATH, I am considering whether or not to book the chauffeur service to the airport (remember, they will insist on picking you up three hours before your scheduled departure), as I really want to avoid hanging around in an uncomfortable lounge for longer than absolutely needed.
Well, these are my questions:

Well, these are my questions:
- Do EK still send their passengers to the Menzies lounge?
- If yes, is this lounge really terrible enough to strictly avoid it?
- Is there anything else to do in or around PRG airport to spend an hour or two?

Looking at the EK site, there is no mention of a lounge at PRG at all! Even on the 'On the ground services for this flight' section, it states :-
Airport Lounges: If connecting onto another Emirates flight, First Class and Business Class passengers will have access to the Dubai Airport Lounges at Dubai International Airport.
Nothing at all about PRG before the flight ...

I can't remember the name of the lounge. It wasn't terrible, there was a separate area for F pax so relatively quiet when I was there. I don't remember there being much (if any) food.
If you have been through ATH - it's more pleasant than the Olympic Air lounge that EK use there (quieter and cleaner). PRG is otherwise a fairly standard efficient European airport, not too busy, usual selection of food concessions etc.

PRG Lounge
It's still the Menzies lounge, was there in October and its nothing special, there is a separate small room for emirates first class passengers which is separated from the rest of the lounge by a sliding door, has its own toilet and small drinks selection, larger selection and food in main lounge, had a sofa and round table with around 6 chairs in the room, there is a view out to the apron though, to be honest it's not worth bothering with and I felt like I was being shoved into a cupboard for an hour or so, definately not a first class experience.
