Which plane / which route?
How do they decide which plane flies which route? I'm not looking for trade secrets here but say a plane finishes its cycle and gets back to Dubai, does it have xx amount of time on the ground before it is used again or are they cleaned up straight away and sent out same day?
Say a 777-300 ER has done LAX-DXB non stop, would they send it to do DXB-SYD or would it have a rest? I know it's metal and doesn't have a brain, I'm just wondering if they have a longer rest after a 14 hour flight.

Plane on the ground = no revenue. Policy is to keep them in the air, they work them hard

I believe EK's aircraft utilization rates is one of the highest in the industry. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that.
I'm sure flight/fleet operations figures it out, some 777's are configured for more y pax on density heavy routes, some have crew bunks for ultra long haul routes, etc.
An a/c that just came back doing LAX-DXB could be on the ground for a couple hours and then do a night turn such as DXB-DEL-DXB, then be on the ground for a couple hours at DXB and then do DXB-FRA etc.
EK aircraft, bringing in the $$$.
