Flight from LGW to DBX yesterday, all economy got moved to Business seats but not upgraded, presumably Business got upgraded to First. The following flight from DBX to KUL my gf and I both got upgraded at the gate. I just reached Silver and it was her first flight as Blue. Happy days.

I know some of the EK staff in CMB being a frequent flyer, was told the flight was -1 and was told they will try to push me to first. Checked at the lounge about 30 mins before departure no change in seat. New boarding pass was given at gate. There was one free seat in F due to it being broken otherwise flight was full.
