moving from SK to EK
Hello frequent flyers,
I'm flying twice a year from BRU to BKK with SAS C class ( EB gold).
I was planning to use my EB miles for buying my annual January flight but didn't expect I had to choose among "EB flights" and could not find the desired flight-date-class! Things are looking much easier in the adds on board. I could buy my ticket for 298.000 miles instead of the 140.000 miles annonced for same ( award ) flight
Frustrated, I"m still hesitating to go for Emirates EK from now but cannot take my decision. EK has A380 & 777, more confortable C class seats, a good reputation, not much more expensive and lots of positive points.
Only following points keep me hesitating:
- not a *A member
-not flying from Brussels
-Amex rewards cannot be transferred
-a 2 3 hours stop in Dubai
I know everyone has his own taste, wishes or needs but I'm sure your comments or experiences will help make my choice! May I ask your advices or comments. There might be other good reasons to move to EK or stay with SK
NB. I want to try Emirates since the answer of Hanibal Lecter in this post: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/sas-e...s-cph-bkk.html
I thank you in advance for guiding me
Greetings to all from a rainy Belgium.

Thanks for your answers !
honnestly, I wanted to fly with EK for the A380 and because Emirates was synonym of quality in my mind. I'm surprised to see that you don't recommend EK (even on this board !! ).
Maybe I have a wrong opinion about emirates {!?#!!$$##;^!%}
An other positive point for SK is that 2 trips to bkk each year are sufficiant to remain EBGold. I think EK trier miles are not concerned with the 25% & 50% bonus for silver or gold members !!
I think I'll be wize and think twice before leaving SK. Maybe they will soon have newer planes too

Thank you again for your replies and all my excuses for my hesitation

I use to go end november and end of januari. I'm staying there each time 2 3 weeks.
A third trip to bkk might be possible in may or june from 2013. But not sure yet !??!
