As others have said - still plenty of time for upgrade opportunities to appear (but no guarantee) - if yu expect to fly economy you won't be disappointed whatever the outcome...

You would be at the bottom of the pecking order for a FREE upgrade, so I would suggest no chance. And, sadly, there are no funny handshakes or winks which will help either!

Any status is better than no status so having a skywards number gives you a better chance than not having.
Maybe you can ask at check in always worth asking.
Also worth asking on this forum if anybody can get ou in to lounge.
