I did get the JW and managed to get over to and from the mall on the shuttle to get a look at the Burj Khalifa. They gave me a nice King room. I didn’t eat anything there as I left to check out the F lounges pretty early. The chauffeur service worked very well both ways.

Just booked a MAN-KUL flight with an overnight stop (my choice). Hotel is showing as an option... :)

Have an F-class connection in a few weeks.
landing 7:30 pm. Next flight departs 2am.

DC is offered via website.
But really torn about taking it. I think I may get a maximum of three hours in the hotel room. (especially if it’s JW).

I guess there is no way we can request the Le Meridian for the DC?

Based on recent experience you will get the JW at check in. You can go to the DC desk at arrivals in DXB and ask them if they will put you in Le Meridian. They may be able to if there are rooms.

Ok thank you.
I will ask for the LM at the DC check-in desk.

I have 2 questions... Will be booking EK business class YYZ-NBO / MBA-YYZ for 4pax.

How does DC work with a family of 4? Do they offer 2br rooms or will it be 2x queens or 2 rooms?

If I call, will they be able to tell me if the booking qualifies for DC?

Only a long layover on the return. MBA to DXB is on flyDubai but it is into terminal 3 which is called out in the terms. On Mon / Tues, the flyDubai flight is in the evening and arrives when DXB-YYZ is leaving, so the layover is a full 24hours... I'd honestly prefer Kenyan Airways MBA to NBO and Emirates NBO to DXB to YYZ, but they wont offer that up as a same day routing.

Emirates marketed flights, operated by flyDubai, may also qualify for Dubai Connect if arriving and departing from Terminal 3.

Only used DC with family once, but that time (several years ago), they offered a room for each passenger. We took two as the kids were small then.

I think even as the booking is made online, before you commit, you will be told if your booking qualifies for DC. Presumably a Call Centre or chat agent will also be able to tell you.
