Does anyone know if and which 777-300ER still do not have First Class suites? The fleet listing above shows no 12F 77W config but when you check details for routes flown by A6-EBY, EBQ, ECE, EK description says The Ultra Long Range 777-300ER features spacious luxury in First Class, NOT luxurious privates suites like it does for other 77W..

Business class seat confusion
In researching business class seats on the 777-300ER vs the A380, I'm confused between the information at the top of this thread, the EK website, and the internet.
The EK website show a series of pictures depicting business class on their 777-300ER's as this: http://www.emirates.com/english/imag...233-685051.jpg Which is the same as the A380. However, they use the term "Lie-flat" and the letter "L" on seat maps for the 777-300ER, and "Flat-bed" or "F" on A380 seat maps. Further, the 777 seat maps are arranged in a 2-3-2 straight, single row pattern, while the A380 are in a 2-4-2 off-set, alternating pattern (like the photo above). Given the 777 seat map, however, is this really the seat on the 777's, which is depicted across the internet?: http://www.seatplans.com/resize/300x...siness-777.jpg Which seat should I expect on the 777-300ER's? |

The seat in your first picture is the A380 J class and, as above, the second is the B777-300ER. |

I noticed this recently and my opinion is the website is deliberately confusing, although not incorrect if you read carefully.
The seat in your first picture is the A380 J class and, as above, the second is the B777-300ER. Since it brought up the 777-300ER, I then clicked on the Business Class link that appears on the results page, and it displays all of the photos of the A380 J seat. This is not deliberately confusing, but deliberately misleading - false advertising. Still, I get it, so will now avoid that route. Thanks for the clarity, regardless - much appreciated! |
What's a 73K?
Thanks. |

It is similar to the 73M/N and 73V/W codes mentioned in the list above |

I believe they added 2 extra seats in Y to all the new A380s.

Is it possible to include into the list, which aircraft have the upgraded new ICE digital widescreen with the 12/21/27 inch capacitive screens (Y/C/F respectively), the Karma touch handset and the "tablet"-like controller in First/Business?
The new system was introduced around summer/autumn of 2012. For the A380-fleet, I can tell for sure, that A6-EDX does not have it yet, but A6-EEF already does. For the 77W fleet, the A6-EGM does not have it yet, but A6-EGU does. (I flew those tailsigns recently) So the switch to the new system must be somewhere in between these tailsigns. |
A380 changed over from A6-EEF and onwards.
B777 changed from A6-EGP. |
