Ek 17 massive delay

Ek 17 was delayed by 4 hours today with a lot of holding and a diversion into Heathrow. you can watch the flight here http://www.flightradar24.com/2012-06-19/04:36/UAE17 anyone know why the delay?

watched the A380 fly over the runway at around 12.30pm then just looked out my window and seen it just come in to land around 30m minutes ago at around 4pmish !! any one know why ??

There was an runway emergency just ahead of EK17 coming in to land at MAN, therefore it had to do a go around and then subsequently it diverted to Heathrow

BTW, flight-radar 24 is a brilliant web site plus you can watch the planes taxing in Dubai airport and the planes flying in a line heading out west.

I believe that the fire department were dealing with an emergency landing on one of the runways, so everything else had to hold or divert for a while. EK17 chose to go to LHR.
