ICE Variation

Apologies if this is an obvious question, answered elsewhere. I can't find the answer anywhere else.

I am a irregular traveller travelling in Y from SIN to GLA via DXB in August on EK433 and EK25. The Emirates website tells me that ICE is on EK433 and ice on demand is on EK25.

Can anyone tell me the difference in the variance of AVOD in Y on these flights.

Thanks for your assistance.

On EK433 it depends on whether the aircraft being used has ICE or ICE digital widescreen. They are both on demand, but digital widescreen has much better picture quality and a better interface.

EK25, depending on the aircraft type, could have either if it is a 777 or ICE if it is a 340.

EK25 in August is still scheduled to be a A343. ICE on demand is in J and F only.

There is no version of ICE that isn't on demand.. do you perhaps mean that Y has the old TV&Radio system while J and F have ICE (and not the digital widescreen version?)

Yes, that's correct.

Forgive the stupid question but does Emirates still have versions of IFE where there are just channels and you have to 'tune-in' in the hope you've not missed the start? The same as in Y on UL? I thought they had put all their aircraft with on-demand services?

TV&Radio is not on-demand and is on the older aircraft such as 332.
