As a Skywards Gold member you can guest another passenger into the lounge if they are travelling on the same flight as you but only if you are travelling in Business or First.

If you have Gold status
Travelling Economy Class : No Guest Permitted
Otherwise : 1 guest
The person does not have to be in the same booking as you ; if you are booked in business class and the other person on the flight has a separate booking in economy class, then you can take that person in as guest. At Dubai, if travelling in 1st class , you can take a guest who is travelling in either economy or business into the 1st class lounge

this is the first time with a maximum grade of frequent flyer you can not invite his wife to the lounge ... I think I'll probably favor another company may be EY...

It's hard to say - but the new J lounge in C3 will have a floor of its own, so that will be a significant increase in capacity. I think EK are aware that most FFPs allow top-tier members to bring a lounge guest in Y.
There was a display in the J lounge last week showing the layout of the new 'J floor'... I'll try and grab a photo tomorrow.
