Announcement of New Ambassador to the Emirates Forum

I am pleased to announce the appointment of whimike to the Ambassador Team within the EK Board.

When we look for Ambassadors, we try and select from a wide and diverse group.

whimike is based in the US - on the West Coast and while he has only been flying EK for a short period, he is accruing tier miles rapidly. He has been flying premium long-haul for most of his career and the current company he works with has a major office presence in DXB.

Dare I say it, it is going to be refreshing to have an American perspective on our little board...

Please make whimike welcome. He is going to be a terrific addition to the team.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome!

When the "EightBlack" first contacted me about the desire to have me as an Ambassador, I thought he purposely wanted to throw this forum into disarray. Then I found out he thought it would be a good idea to have an American as an Ambassador, and then I knew he was asking for trouble. Perhaps he wanted me to lead the revolution to getting EK to become like an American carrier where we all get op-ups!!

But, no such shenanigans shall come from me. As vocal as I am, I love EK just the way it is (mostly).

I look forward to my new role of being kinder and gentler, especially to newbies. But, I refuse to stop busting the chops of B747!!!

Cheers!!

With EK nearly doubling its US destinations this year, having an American perspective of things on the Ambassador team would definitely help any Yanks flying EK for the first time.

Welcome

From where do you fly--LAX, SFO, or SEA?

Primarily SFO, but have taken several flights from DFW and SEA as well.

I loved flying from SFO earlier this year. Will stick with it (instead of YYZ) until EK starts ORD.

Do you fly the A380? Which country are you from? (I always pay attention when "El Capitan" says where he and the FO are from.
