First time in F - what not to miss out?

Having flown in J a few times I now have an upcoming flight in F. To make the most of it I welcome suggestions on what I should not miss...

Guzzling on Dom is obvious. Also, the F lounge (but what is going to be the difference from the J lounge?)

Thanks in advance.

First time in F

Sorry to piggy back the thread but it would be useful if suggestions were added as to what NOT to do as well.

If you post your routes or flights you'd get the better feedback on what to expect

Enjoy the food, wine, service, excellent hard product. I'm not sure what more one can get out of a flight.

In terms of lounges the difference between J and F is huge - much less crowded, free spa treatments/ shoe shine, better service and a la carte dining.

What you can safely miss out - trying to have a shower unless it is on the 380. Lounge showers are some of the worst I've seen at F lounges.

ung1 has already answered your questions well.

The A380 in F will be good fun- You can also enjoy the J Bar.

The Bigger plane makes a stroll quite possible too

If you are interested in Aviation - you can ask the Purser for a Tour of the Aircraft & if possible the flight deck

As this is your first time try to save some time so you can explore the Lounge & get your Spa treatment too.

Enjoy & let us know how you got on ...

Cheers !

I always insist on doing the complimentary shoe shine service after walking around dubai dusty streets making my shoes looking like construction worker shoes.

Well, if you're anything like me, once the meal service has finished you'll head to the J bar (escorted by the lovely EK staff, and your choice of tipple) to spend the next few hours wondering why all flights couldn't be like this

While I definitely will go to the bar, it seems a waste to pay for a suite and NOT use it...

Not for some time yet. Flying in March. Maybe a trip report from you? That would be helpful.

Very dissapointed by the desk staff at the F lounge. I asked one guy who was sat on the desksas you walked in if he could confirm that the flight would have amenity kits. He tapped away for 5 minutes and told me that there was availability in first class if I wanted to upgrade. He actually had my boarding pass in his hand as he told me this. The fact that it said first nd tht I ws in the f lounge must have bypassed him. After I explained again, he Sid he didn't know and to ask the front desk. There the lady I was to just wanted to go for her break and just told me tht she didn't know and tht she didn't have any.

Hopefully the cc will be more pleasant.
