Gold status matching
I am currently have Lufthansa senator and wrote to Skywards a few months back re status matching. I also had a few flights in J booked with Emirates so gave my booking reference numbers but never heard back!
After a disappointing flight from Birmingham-Dubai return I wrote to complain about the outdated J product and service...and today recieved an email:
"Thank you for your patience while Emirates Sales Department in Glasgow reviewed your request.
We are delighted to advise you that they have upgraded your membership to Skywards Gold status. Your Gold card is valid until 31 January 2013.
Your Skywards Gold pack will reach you in 3-4 weeks time at your preferred mailing address :"
Now if you travel J anyway and on a route that doesnt usually have a first class cabin what real benefits are there? I would like to hear your thoughts
