worth trying for status?

Hi

my partner recently started flying with emirates on MUM-DXB for work and just realized she's about 500 or so miles short of silver. She's not very particular about getting status but I figured why not. So is it possible to get silver somehow even though will fall short by a few miles...

What is MUM?

Not that that is relevant, but yes, it is worth writing to Skywards asking if they could grant status as you are only a few miles short, and preferably show forward bookings for the future.

And welcome to FT!
