Agreed!

I understand the fact that some airlines cannot financially 'expand' but, when an airline leaves everything to the last minute (LH and their little rant similar to that of AC) they have no-one else to blame but themselves. It's a business, you have to be prepared for others to 'take you on'.

Plus, EK has a better product.

"They got some airplanes from the UAE government!! Can you imagine that??!"
"Emirates' employees pay no income tax!!"

Yikes!!!

"Emirates serves a home market of 4.5 Mn, yet they are the largest international airline in the world!"

True! So what about KLM or Qatar?

The only thing I got from that stupid interview is that both of these guys are losers

When AC was in the hands of the government before privatization it was much worse off than right now.

A one sided rant by two uninformed characters feeding off of each others prejudices ...

it seems that the red roo (actually a white roo) acts much more civilized and proactive than the red maple. at least the roo does not just waste all time and energy blaming the competitor, by contrast, he has come up with a restructuring plan to reposition himself and seek better opportunities in Asia apart from his home market.

Bet none of the AC forum regulars are laughing on the EK forum. They're too busy defending AC's justification!

Oh ya, those guys forgot to mention that SQ is even smaller... but yet have made profits every year...
