First Ek flight SIN to MELB J
and it wasn't great.
I won't go off on a long rant ( I saved that for the feedback email I sent) but basically..
-Chauffeur service booking system didn't work, had to confirm one of the 4 trips four times.
-Lounge in T1 at Changi poorly sign posted (due to renovation I think) but check in should have said where it is and as we were made 30minutes late by the chauffeur service a stressed wife and baby were even less happy wondering round trying to find it.
-The lady that served us on the route from SIN to MELB clearly did not want to be working and did not smile once and was actually quite rude, which is a shame as I saw other crew on the plane where OK.
-Seats a bit cramped when compared to say Qatar J product and far too hot with the mattress on (might be just be myself and wife but by that point anything bad was annoying)
Its a shame as I was looking forward to my first EK flight, the only real high light was the staff in the lounges at Changi and Melbourne who were very helpful.

I'm sorry to hear about your first J trip on EK. I catch this often (and in fact catching it tonite with the entire family).
I've never had a problem with Chauffeur drive - and they always confirm sometime late in the afternoon (or at least an hour or 2 prior to pick-up).
When you checked in, did the agent not give you a lounge invite card, which had the directions on the lounge printed on the back? I suppose I take it for granted as I have been going there for nearly 2-years and reckon I could find the place blindfolded.
I actually find the seats on the 777 better than the A380 - but I know a lot of is down to personal preference.
I hope you give EK another chance...(and agree re your comment on the lounge staff - the girls in SIN are fantastic).

Having used chauffeur drive last August from SIN, I was quite disappointed to be sat in the back of a Toyota Camry, wasn't really what I was expecting, from MAN you get Mercs!
Upon check-in at Changi the staff there were quite descriptive in how to find the lounges, despite them being sign-posted, so it would seem that others have suffered in the past too.
