Rebooking question and validity as on tkt

I bought a return ticket through a travel agent in India on Emirates - Bangalore/Sao Paulo Brazil/Bangalore. The return to India was scheduled for mid March 2011. I was on a quick visit to India just now, and during this time visited the travel agent and changed the return date at the travel agents office to mid April. I paid the required fine for date change and got my eticket sent to me via email. So far so good.

The new date on the ticket is 15th April. But in the validity section of the ticket it still reads not before 12 March and not after 12 March. That is, the validity part has not been updated to match my new return. I immediately called the travel agent who says no problem, not to worry, he himself had noticed this and checked with Emirates who say not a problem. I checked my return on the Emirates website - manage a booking - and find my return is listed as reconfirmed for 15 April. But validity section still reads not before 12 March and not after 12 March. What do the travel experts on this forum think? As an infrequent traveller who rarely changes dates, I am plenty worried. I dont want to be stuck in Brazil on the day of departure at the check in counter with a long debate on whether this is really okay or not. Please, if anybody knows if this is alright or not - do let me know.

Afaik that wouldn't change unless your ticket was reissued (change of fare bucket). If it is only a date change fee it doesn't matter. I call EK and change dates all the time and never had a problem.

Thanks to ung1

It was a date change fee that I paid. Thanks ung1. I am glad to hear that you change dates frequently and theres no problem at the counter when you get there. I see there is no cause to worry.
