Just back from 10 days in the sun and had a great time in Thailand.
flying out from Manchester on the A380, i was lucky to get a free upgrade and flying out of Dubai i was given another free upgrade on the 777ER.
On my way back from Bangkok with my GF, we were asked if we could travel back the following day due to a over booked flight from Bangkok to Dubai with a offer of a free return flight for both myself and my GF.
I thought long and hard about the offer, but declined the offer, But i did offer to go out on the later flight if it helped, but they wanted me to arrive back in the UK on Tuesday.

The lady told me at the checkin counter that the EK373 is over booked most days, So i wonder if they will use the A380 again on that route.

Returning into Dubai, I seen parts of the airport that i had never seen before due to the detour that the plane had to take to get to a far away stand!!!
now i know where terminal 2 is I just thought that it was Terminal 1 and 3 LOL

on a down side, the showers are really small in Bangkok, I caught my side going into the shower and jammed my fingers in the door trying to get back out and no i am not a very large bloke.

On my arrival into Dubai from Manchester, the captain thanked business class for drinking the bar dry!!! I was not one of them since i was in need of a good sleep.

I did notice another New A380 in Dubai lettered M.

Regarding lounge's, Manchester takes some beating and will miss going in there when i am down to silver which will be in May.

Looking forward to another holiday.

I'll be trying it out for the first time in 2 weeks! Can't wait.

Also booked for the racing in Dubai on the Thursday... I hope it goes better then the last time I tried to get there
