Champs Changed in F

Hi,

To all the EK F flyers.

Due to cost cutting DP 2000 has been discontinued & instead DP 2002 is being served now in EK F up in the air & MOET while on the ground.

Got a bottle of the DP 2002 & a full box of Godiva from the purser as a gift on my 22hrs flight EK 418 in F ofcourse.^ It was a revenue flight BTW.

Safe Flying

EGT

Oh the horror!

Did the 2000 become more expensive, or did EK decide to save money by switching to the 2002. Last I checked, their F fares were going up!

That's a shame ... DP2000 was one of the unique elements of EK F

If it's that important, buy a bottle and take it on board

That's interesting actually. Can one buy one's own alcohol and ask the crew to serve that, instead of what's available onboard?

BYO flying. Some dry airlines do it (MS, KU?).
I wonder if it's the same story on the A380's bar for F??

I do not care on Dom vintages - I do care on the change to Moet at Lounge...
At the time of booking they advertised exactly that

Are they serving the regular Moet? Veuve costs more, and you get that in the Silver Lounge. And in my personal opinion it tastes better too.

Last time I was in the lounge at MAN, Veuve was the order of the day. Wifey was happy. That was a few months ago mind.

Nothing illegal about it. There may be regulations which prohibit having alcoholic beverages which have not been served by the crew, but if the crew are prepared to serve the alcohol to the passenger , then it is fine. There is nothing to say that the crew will agree to do it.

As far as change of vintage goes, Is it not just that they have been serving 2000 for a few years now and they are now just moving on to the 2002 since 2002 is just the next vintage after 2000. It is not as if they are going to a worse vintage

would be nice to have a choice of vueve or moet in the silver lounge, my preference changes depending on my mood and what i feel like eating, i prefer moet with sweeter dishes....
