Smile Help with Transit in DXB

Travelling F ATH to HKG via DXB on EK104/EK380. Transit time is 5 hrs 25 mins.

EK104 ATH 22.25 dep DXB arr 04.40+1
EK380 DXB 10.05 dep HKG arr 21.05

Would you just spend the time in F lounge at DXB or get a day room at the hotel in the terminal?

Views appreciated

Time To Kill in DXB

Hi Col747uk,

Ok your flight is landing at the start of the rush hour time so you can expect that most probably you will not get a gate and will be bussed to the terminal.

Let me put it this way. You will not end up in the F Lounge prior to 05:30 by all means. Boarding for EK380 will start at around 09:20 so only have about 4 hrs max to kill in the EK F Lounge.

EK F Lounge is a wonderful place to KILL time. You can enjoy a complimentry hair cut and a massage as well which you can book when you enter. Have the breekie afterwards and you are ready to board.

FYI the smoking lounge is at the end of the lounge just incase you wanted to know.

Enjoy EK F.

Safe Flying

EGT

I'd agree with ELITEGOLDTRAVELLER

It's an unlovely time of the morning, but counting the time to get in and out of the hotel, you might as well go to the lounge, which is MUCH nicer than the Biz lounge.

Go nuts on the shampy.

Hi MarkusToe

EK104 operates on Tues & Fri when I am travelling and ceases completely wef 25 Mar when the A345 switches to the Vienna route. May get to ATH early so can switch to EK106 if EK104 cancelled at short notice.

Yes, the poster states EK104 ceases from the 25th March which leaves EK106 as the only remaining one when you travel in April.

To be nicer than the biz lounge is not difficult. It is the size of a small airport, with a useless bar and about 2 toilets. What a waste of time.
